About Me
Hi there, I'm Andy, a math tutor for 7+ years. Being a computer guy by day and a math nerd by night, I piggyback off my logical and structural thinking to help students bring order to the chaos that can be math. If you’re struggling to wrap your head around it all, I’m here to help fix that for you. Tutoring has been a part of my life ever since I started off helping my peers in high school with what came easy to me. I eventually also helped students in middle school and college as I pursued my undergrad degree. After that, I kept busy with tutoring during graduate school and life in the work force as well. I’ve helped students simplify understanding, streamline the studying process, improve grades, and perform well on their exams. Whether you’re looking for simple homework help or long-term guidance, I’ll help make the math understandable in bite-sizes and set you up for success. Book a session today and together we can get you up-to-speed and beyond for your math studies!
Education
I graduated from Cal Poly SLO in 2021 with a bachelor's in computer engineering, and also graduated from UC Irvine in 2023 with a master's in electrical and computer engineering (with a thesis in non-invasive fetal heart rate monitoring).
Teaching Experience
I have been a private math tutor for over 8 years, helping students in middle school, high school, and college. I helped teach subjects ranging from pre-algebra to calculus, and have also helped with standardized test prep such as the GRE.
Interests
I like to exercise with running and weight lifting. I also enjoy staying up to date with health longevity and diet and financial advice, and sometimes work on personal projects related to these.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
